Greece is using the decimal currency system since 1836. After the WWII the drachma was devalued so much that the new drachma was introduced at the rate of 50.000.000.000 old drachmas for 1 new. Another reform took place in 1954 (1:1000). 1 drachma equals 100 leptas. In 2002 Greece introduced the euro.
