After separating from the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918, the hungarian krone was declared a legal tender in Hungary. By the year 1925 it lost all of it's value and was relaced with the pengyo. In 1946, after enormous inflation, the forint was introduced. 1 forint equals 100 filler.
